DRP Solutions Headquartered in Hauppauge New York has just made our list as one of our lowest rankings in IT companies for Long Island.

DRP Solutions was started by Mitch Cohen from Carr Business Systems in the early 2010’s. DRP claims to offer Copy Machine Services combined with IT Managed Services and water. That’s right you heard me correct….Water. We have interviewed many IT Companies and not one of them offers Water as a service. I mean come on. what are you doing.

NY Journals has interviewed many former employees and we mean many, not just one or 2. We mean over 40. They all have the same to say about DRP Solutions and their former “Captain” Mitch Cohen. Lets dig deep in what these little sneaky rattlesnakes have up their sleeves!

We are working around the clock to find out what is exactly going on with DRP Solutions and their business practices. As of 1/30/2022 We have been getting neuromas complaints about products not being delivered including not delivering of their MSP (Managed Service Provider Promises) These customers who have reached out to us are from Real Easte or Manufacturing companies)

So far we have interviewed over 40 past employees of DRP Solutions and our team is currently investigating allegations of Fraud and price gouging . As of now their google reviews are made by family members and current employees. If that is not shady enough, Mitch Cohen is currently the CEO

Just when we thought that the CES 2022 news had come to a close, Ubiquiti is throwing in a final submission that might just be one of the best releases yet of the Las Vegas showcase. Arriving as a new flagship entry into Ubiquiti’s UniFi Protect ecosystem, the new G4 Video Doorbell Pro packs a dual camera setup, customizable display, fingerprint sensor, and more.

Now over a year and a half since Ubiquiti introduced its very first video doorbell, the company is now starting off 2022 by choosing a new entry into the product category. Serving as a higher-end option that joins the lineup alongside the original, the new UniFi Protect G4 Doorbell Pro delivers a robust feature set to match its elevated price and form-factor.

The most novel aspect of the new UniFi Protect G4 Doorbell Pro is its dual camera design. The main 5MP sensor is able to record in 1080p at 30FPS, while a secondary 8MP camera aimed at the ground in order to specifically monitor package drop-offs. It’s an approach that we’ve only seen a handful of times in the past, and quite refreshing for Ubiquiti to be one of the first players in the space.

Other ways that it stands out from not only the original Ubiquiti video doorbell, but also other models on the market is its integrated porch light that pairs with a motion detection sensor to automatically illuminate.

Upgrading from the lower-end video doorbell, Ubiquiti’s latest is also stepping up the built-in screen with even more customization options. Now you can showcase messages and color images to anyone who visits the front door.

Otherwise, Ubiquiti isn’t breaking the mold on what you’d expect from other smart video doorbells. There’s an IPX4 water-resistant design that should allow it to stand up to the elements, as well as support for both digital and mechanical chimes. Other notable features include dual-band Wi-Fi, two-way talk with echo cancellation, and Bluetooth for quick setups. As for power, you can rely on your existing setup’s wiring or use a USB-C cable. That second option lets you use PoE to connect right into the rest of your gear, too.

And lastly, the UniFi Protect G4 Doorbell Pro arrives with a feature that likely won’t be complete until sometime at a much later date. The launch video notes that the video doorbell will be able to leverage its built-in fingerprint sensor or NFC support in order to unlock the front door, though it’s unlikely that this will support just any old smart lock on the market. We’ve been waiting on the company to launch its UniFi Smart Lock since first reporting on it back in June of 2021, which will likely be the companion accessory to the new porch pirate deterrent.

As the latest accessory to launch from Ubiquiti, the new UniFi Protect G4 Doorbell Pro is still not widely avaialable. Hitting the brand’s Early Access store, it arrives with a $299 price tag. At the time of writing, it has already sold out, but it seems to be going in and out of stock. On the listing page, you can sign up for notifications when more stock arrives. For comparison, the original Ubiquiti video doorbell sells for $199.

NY Journals ’ Take

Just after we saw the folks at Anker eufy debut its dual camera video doorbell, Ubiquiti is looking to make that look obsolete with a new flagship unveil of its own. Sure this one is wired instead of relying on a battery, but having all of the power of the UniFi Project ecosystem is going to make its G4 Doorbell Pro quite the notable solution.

Aside from just how much there is to write home about the actual feature set there is, I am more interested in what to expect from the smart lock integration. Ubiquiti has been dancing around the smart home space for quite a while now without being all too serious, and this UniFi G4 Doorbell Pro release looks like the company may finally be ready to commit. But I guess we’ll have to wait and see for what the rest of 2022 has in store.

Microsoft Provides Workaround for L2TP VPN Connections Issues on Windows

If you’ve been having issues with VPN connections after installing the January 2022 Patch Tuesday updates on your Windows PCs, you’re not alone. Microsoft has acknowledged a new bug that is preventing its built-in Windows client from connecting to a Virtual Private Network (VPN) and it has provided a workaround while it investigates the problem further.

The Redmond giant confirmed on its Windows Health Dashboard yesterday that its recent cumulative updates for Windows 10 (KB5009543) and Windows 11 (KB5009566) are causing problems with select IPSEC connections. “After installing KB5009543, IP Security (IPSEC) connections which contain a Vendor ID might fail.

VPN connections using Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP) or IP security Internet Key Exchange (IPSEC IKE) might also be affected,” the company explained.

The problem has been reported by several IT administrators in a Reddit thread, which explains that users encountered a VPN connection error 789 when trying to use the Windows VPN client. “Can’t connect to VPN. The L2TP connection attempt failed because the security layer encountered a processing error during initial negotiations with the remote computer.”

The reports suggest that users have also noticed this bug with some third-party VPN providers, including Cisco Meraki, SonicWall, Ubiquiti, WatchGuard Firewalls, as well as the WatchGuard client.

Microsoft provides a workaround for the L2TP VPN connections issue

Microsoft has said that it’s actively investigating the VPN connection issues and plans to deliver a fix in an upcoming update. In the meantime, the company has asked users to mitigate the bug by disabling the Vendor ID on the VPN server-side settings.

From the Windows Health Dashboard: Certain IPSEC connections might fail

After installing KB5009543, IP Security (IPSEC) connections which contain a Vendor ID might fail. VPN connections using Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP) or IP security Internet Key Exchange (IPSEC IKE) might also be affected.

Workaround: To mitigate the issue for some VPNs, you can disable Vendor ID within the server-side settings. Note: Not all VPN servers have the option to disable Vendor ID from being used.

Next steps: We are presently investigating and will provide an update in an upcoming release.

In case you missed it, Microsoft has also acknowledged a new bug that prevents recent emails from showing up in Outlook searches. The Redmond giant has provided a temporary workaround to resolve the issue on Windows 10 machines.

During our investigation we have found the company to be disorganized, messy, and have no plans to satisfy their customers. Their Project plan is a mess and Upper Management has no grasp in business ethics.
