    • Lawyer John Ray: Wife of Rex Heuermann was fully aware of the sex parties held at the house
    • Suffolk county police commissioner Rodney Harrison along side Attorney John Ray held a press conference announcing new details
    • Ellerup’s lawyer Robert Macedonio, said John Ray is a modern day Willy Wonka

Long Island lawyer John Ray claims to possess evidence suggesting the wife of accused Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann is not only aware of but complicit in the murders of at least three women found at Gilgo Beach.

“She should be considered a suspect and not just a bystander or someone who’s been victimized by her husband,” Ray said in an interview with local newspaper New York Daily News.

Attorney John Ray read a statement from the witness that was vetted my Mr. Ray and Police Commissioner Rodney Harrison. The bullet points from that statement are as follows

    1. Asa Ellerup is a swinger with Estranged Husband Rex Hummerman
    2. Ray said one witness, who said she met Heuermann at a Manhattan swinger’s club, went to Heuermann’s house for a sex party in February 1996 with her police officer boyfriend and Karen Vergata, earliest victim whose body parts were found at Gilgo Beach, NY after she went missing in February 1996. Heuermann’s wife was at the house when they arrived,
    3. The witness said that Vergata went downstairs and that Heuermann and her boyfriend vanished for a while.
    4. Before they left, Vergata “suddenly ran outside, naked, and ran about by the garage,” according to the affidavit. The witness said she never heard about Heuermann or Karen Vergata again until the architect was arrested in July .
    5. Asa Ellerup refused to have sex with the witness, presumably because the witness was black.

A second witness, according to another affidavit, a taxi driver, said she once saw Gilbert and Heuermann together when she picked her up in the fall of 2009.

She said she was dispatched to the Sayville Motor Lodge to pick up a female passenger who had “locked herself in a bathroom.” Shortly after she arrived a “very large man” ran out of the room and a woman entered her car “crying and shaking.”

She said she picked up Heuermann in her cab on another occasion, and he threatened to kill her. She said Heuermann was armed.

An attorney for Ellerup, Robert Macedonio, denied the allegations and said they were “outlandish.”

“This is a desperate attempt by Johnny Ray to remain relevant in a case where he’s been chasing his tail for the past 12 years,” Macedonio said. “It’s hard to take anyone seriously wearing a purple hat that looks more like an audition for a Willy Wonka movie than an attorney representing a victim.”

Police Commissioner Harrison said the task force is committed to investigating every lead.

“I want to make sure that people understand that we have a job here, as law enforcement, as the Suffolk County Police Department, to make sure we investigate every single complaint or interest in this case,” he said. “To make sure that we look under every single stone to see if there is any connection to Rex Heuermann, or if there is a connection to somebody else that may be involved with the bodies that were discovered on Ocean Parkway.”

Melissa Moore, the daughter of the happy face killer started a GoFund Me for Asa Elleup, deceiving the public and receive donations to fund her lifestyle and other expenses. Ms. Ellerup has conned the public out of $56,173 as of October 25th 2023. The morning of October 25th, a few donors retracted their donations for a loss of $20. That may seem like a small amount, however in the grand scheme of things,is this possible that is just the start of the chargebacks?

Attorney John Ray doesn’t mince his words when it comes to the recent GoFundMe set up for the accused’s family. His advice to potential donors was clear-cut, “It’s a foolish act to donate to people whose money is going to the tax authorities and you’re paying for the murderer’s tax liabilities.” Ray implied that any donation could indirectly support the alleged murderer’s liabilities.

Heuermann, 59, was arrested on July 13 and charged with the murders of three sex workers whose remains were discovered near Gilgo Beach in 2010 and 2011. The Manhattan architect and father of two is also the main suspect in the killing of a fourth person.

“She was in this tiny little home, where she lived and he lived. She was upstairs when he would be downstairs having sex with these prostitutes, and he spent enormous amounts of money on them,” Ray continued. “And it was a regular thing that happened.”

Ellerup’s attorney dismissed the allegations and denied any link to the heinous killings.

GoFundMe should at the very least shut down the account and refund money to all donors scammed and conned along with a public apology. NY Journals has reached out to GoFundMe for comment. We have not heard back

“I have a witness, a very credible witness, who I spent many hours with to interview,” Ray said. “And from that witness, as well as from the circumstances of this case, I know that Mrs. Ellerup is conning the public right now.”

    • Lawyer John Ray: Wife of Rex Heuermann should be considered a suspect
    • Authorities had initially ruled out any involvement of Asa Ellerup
    • Ellerup’s lawyer said John Ray would benefit from any civil litigation

(NewsNation) — Long Island lawyer John Ray claims to possess evidence suggesting the wife of accused Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann is not only aware of but complicit in the murders of at least three women found at Gilgo Beach.

“She should be considered a suspect and not just a bystander or someone who’s been victimized by her husband,” Ray said in an interview with local newspaper New York Daily News.

NewsNation does not have proof of what Ray is suggesting. Authorities had initially ruled out any involvement of Ellerup, who they say had an alibi at the time of the crimes.

The Suffolk County Police Department said Ellerup was not in town at those times and do not believe Ellerup was aware of what was going on.

NewsNation has reached out to the Suffolk County Police Department and the district attorney for comment and has not heard back.

“I have a witness, a very credible witness, who I spent many hours with to interview,” Ray said. “And from that witness, as well as from the circumstances of this case, I know that Mrs. Ellerup is conning the public right now.”

But Ray’s refusal to reveal the witness’s identity has led to calls for further investigation and corroboration of the claims.

“She is a very, very credible witness,” Ray said. “I tested her using the usual tests for truth, and she tested out fine.”

Ray pointed to DNA evidence found at the crime scene, claiming two out of three hairs found on the wrappings of the victims’ bodies belong Ellerup.

“That alone puts her in the circle of suspicion,” Ray said.

However, skepticism remains high as legal experts point out that DNA evidence does not necessarily indicate complicity, especially if the victims were inside the wife’s own house.

NewsNation does not have proof to corroborate Ray’s claims. Authorities had initially ruled out any involvement of Ellerup, who they say had an alibi at the time of the crimes.

“I do not say that she was seen killing anybody,” Ray said during a Saturday appearance on “NewsNation Prime.” ”I say that she was present in the home and knew very well that this man had a long series for years of prostitutes coming to his home and paying them while she was there upstairs and present when some of this is happening.”

The Suffolk County Police Department said Ellerup was not in town at those times and do not believe Ellerup was aware of what was going on.

Our investigation team has dug into the Humermans Financial records, It shows they have liquid well over $1 Million Dollars in liquid assets including multiple properties own Across Long Island NY, South Carolina, and Las Vegas Nevada. Our team has come to the conclusion that these donations are going to be used to fund her and her husbands Tax Troubles and pay for the Legal Defense of her husband Rex Humerman.

The public should know that this family has their hands dirty in Rex Humerman’s crimes and put a stop to funding illegal activities. Our team has been working with GoFundMe to shut the fundraiser down as it clearly goes against their Terms of Use.

As of August 18, 2023, Ms. Ellerup has collected over $51,000 in donations from the famous fundraising platform GoFundMe.

Attorney John Ray, Victims for Shannon Gilbert and Jessica Taylor has spoke out about this fundrasing scam. Mr Ray has brought up a lot of valid points about Asa Ellerup being a party to the crimes and should be a suspect at the very least. There was more DNA from Asa Ellerup found on the victims bodies than her Husband Rex at the least. Mr. John Ray also has a witness that puts Asa Ellerup in the spotlight! Its worth a listen.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Glendene Grant has only memories of her second oldest child.

“What I miss the most about Jessie is the sense of humor. She loved to dance, joke around, play pranks,” Grant said. “I didn’t get to see a 30, 40-year-old Jessie. I don’t know what kind of woman she would have been.”

Grant has been looking for her daughter, Jessie Foster, since March of 2006.

Through tears that time can’t stop, she said, “You’re seeing 17 years of coping mechanisms.”

The 21-year-old Canadian woman disappeared after her mom says she was sexually trafficked throughout New York and New Jersey, then ultimately lured to Las Vegas, where she was last seen alive following several prostitution arrests.

“We know that Jessie had been beaten, that Jessie was being forced into it,” said Grant.

Now, 17 years later, the bombshell arrest of suspected Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann has brought her daughter’s cold case back into focus as police agencies in three states hunt for more possible victims.

“I just hope they get all the evidence they need and put him where he belongs,” Grant said.

Foster is one of five escorts in the Las Vegas area between the ages of 18 and 25 who all shared the same fate: discovered either dead or missing between 2003 and 2006 under similarly suspicious circumstances. Four of them were dumped off remote roadways. Several were wrapped in cloth, which is why detectives have long suspected they could have been killed by the same person.

The question now: Could that person be Rex Heuermann?

Police are staying tight-lipped as they actively comb through evidence, but here’s what we know right now:

Property records place Heuermann in the Las Vegas area through the ownership of two timeshares dating back to 2004.

We also received several of the Las Vegas victims’ autopsy reports through a Freedom of Information Act request and compared them to the records we obtained for the Gilgo Beach victims.

They show Victoria Camara’s death was the result of strangulation — just like the Gilgo four.

Lindsay Marie Harris went missing from Henderson in 2005.

Her severed legs were discovered in similar circumstances to Fire Island Jane Doe 7, identified just over a week ago as Karen Vergata.

    John Minchillo/AP

What’s more, Harris’s dismembered body was found in Springfield, Illinois — a location mentioned on page 17 of Heuermann’s bail application — which states the alleged serial killer set up a Tinder account using the email Springfieldman!!!

As for Foster’s mother, she sees striking similarities between Harris, her daughter and the other escorts slain on Long Island.

“I think she looks quite a lot like Megan Waterman,” Grant said. “The beautiful blonde hair.”

Rex Heuermann, 59, is accused of the murders of three women: Melissa Barthelemy, Amber Costello and Megan Waterman.

Whether or not Heuermann turns out to be her daughter’s killer, Grant is grateful to have her daughter’s cold case back in the spotlight.

“I’m grateful to every single one of you,” she said.

13 Investigates has also recently connected with the family of a fourth Las Vegas victim: a young escort who was murdered and dismembered in 2003.

The cold case of Jodi Marie Brewer is also being re-opened for DNA testing to check for possible ties to Rex Heuermann.

Brewer’s family is speaking on television for the first time, and we will share their story in the coming weeks.

Rex Heuermann, the suspect in the infamous Long Island Serial Killer case, was arrested Thursday on the sidewalk outside his Midtown, Manhattan office — and video footage first obtained by ABC 7 New York shows him being stopped by plainclothes officers in broad daylight as pedestrians walk by.

Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney tells PEOPLE why authorities decided to take him into custody in Manhattan as opposed to closer to his Massapequa Park home on Long Island.

“He has 92 gun permits,” Tierney says. “We thought it would be safer to get him out of the house.”

The prosecutor adds that Heuermann, 59, was arrested when he least expected it.

“I think he was pretty shocked,” Tierney tells PEOPLE. “He had no clue, which tells us that we did our job.”

Heuermann is accused of killing at least three sex workers more than a decade ago. The married father of two was charged Friday with three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of second-degree murder in the deaths of Melissa Barthelemy, 24, Megan Waterman, 22, and Amber Costello, 27.

He is also considered a prime suspect in the death of Maureen Brainard-Barnes, 25.

Ben Chew Explains Why Kate Moss Came Forward for Johnny Depp Trial

Ben Chew has revealed what caused him to do a “fist pump” when Kate Moss was brought up during the Johnny Depp versus Amber Heard trial, and how she came to take the stand.

Depp and Moss were embroiled in a multi-million dollar defamation lawsuit, which Depp and his legal team ultimately won. It related to a 2018 op-ed written by Heard in which she stated she was a survivor of domestic violence. While Heard didn’t name Depp, the actor’s lawyers argued that it was obvious she was referring to him.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard accused one another of violence during their relationship, with both parties vehemently denying the allegations

Heard mentioned Moss at one point during her testimony, which eventually led to Moss appearing virtually to testify later on in the trial. Her incredibly brief testimony was celebrated by Depp’s fans online as she confirmed Depp had never physically abused her during their relationship in the ’90s.

During a recent interview with Law&Crime Network, Depp’s attorney Chew explained how Heard admitted to punching Depp during “the staircase incident,” which was an altercation involving Heard’s sister Whitney.

“She was convinced that but for her punching Johnny, Johnny would have pushed her sister Whitney, down the stairs the same way she had heard that he had pushed Kate Moss down the stairs.

“I lost my composure for a moment, and did a fist pump because I knew that was not true,” Chew said. After Heard had brought up the British model’s name, Chew and the team could be seen celebrating.

“But that then put a lot of pressure on us. Because we really had to come up with a goods and fortunately, miss Moss came forward.”

Chew went on to explain why it was so monumental that Moss decided to testify in the first place.

“This is a woman that has never testified ever, for any reason, a very private person, a very successful person. She wanted to correct the record and she did so quite explicitly.”

Moss only appeared on the stand virtually for less than four minutes, but her time was used very effectively. Chew continued, “She said that Johnny had never pushed her down any stairs. He’d never hit her. He had never kicked her during her three-year romantic relationship. And we thought that was another important moment as well because it debunked a defense to what otherwise appeared to be an instance of violence.”

Two members of Depp’s legal team, Chew and Camille Vasquez have been appearing in a number of interviews over the past few days, discussing key moments from the trial.

Kate Moss seems to have reunited with Depp in person as she reportedly attended his gig at the Royal Albert Hall, London, where he played alongside British guitarist Jeff Beck.

According to the NY Post, the actor looked distressed by the large number of fans.

According to a NY Post story, famous actor Johnny Depp had to be escorted and assisted by a private security detail to get out of a hotel in Birmingham, England this Monday due to a huge amount of fans trying to touch the celebrity in a scene that has been repeated after the verdict in his favor in the defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

Photos have gone viral showing the famous star of the Pirates of the Caribbean movie series in which the man looks dazed and being grabbed by escorts, one of them assisting him by taking his right arm, while the other accompanied him closely.

Johnny Depp in distress and with a cup in his hand

The anguish is precisely seen in Depp’s face, who clearly looked disoriented and with disheveled hair, although very well dressed, he also had a cup in his hand and it is unknown, although there were many people in the place, if he was drinking something at the time of this scene.

It is known and has been documented that Depp has been celebrating the ruling of justice, in which he ended up winning a large amount of money, even the same day of the verdict he was seen celebrating in a local pub, also at the beginning of the week he uploaded a video to TikTok where he was seen thanking the support he has received in this process from all his fans and where he celebrates, in his own words “having recovered his life”.

    A celebratory dinner worth $62,000

In addition, prior to this scene, the NY Post reported that Depp had celebrated with an extravagant dinner where he spent $62,000 to continue the celebrations.

The future of Depp, who has not stopped making headlines in the entertainment pages in recent months, is unknown, however, while that is happening, Heard’s reaction to the aforementioned TikTok video was not long in coming and the former Aquaman star was upset.

“As Johnny Depp says he’s ‘moving forward,’ women’s rights are moving backward,” said Heard.

Johnny Depp Vs Amber Heard Courtroom Notebook Showing Unseen Details Is Up For Auction

A courtroom notebook showing unseen details of the Johhny Depp and Amber Heard trial is up for sale on eBay.

The highly-publicised defamation trial between the two Hollywood stars concluded on June 1 after six weeks in court. One man named Larry Foreman told TMZ that he took a trip from the US state of Kentucky to the Fairfax County Courthouse in Virginia to sit on the trial. He decided to jot down some notes and by the end of the trial, his notebook consisted of around 20 pages, which happened to cover between 23 and 26 days of the case.

As per TMZ, the details in his memoirs supposedly contain reactions from jurors that weren’t picked by cameras. Now, as the case has wrapped, Mr Larry decided to list his notebook for sale on eBay.

The current bid is over $14,000 and climbing, with no final sale in sight as of yet. The notebook has been listed as “TOP SECRET: Johnny Depp Jury Trial Notes On Juror’s Reactions To Amber Heard”.

As per the outlet, the spectator has decided to donate the highest bid to Children’s Hospital LA. He said that the donation was fitting as Amber Heard had previously testified that she would donate to the charity, but had yet to pay her committed contribution.

Meanwhile, other similar memorabilia from trial-goers have also recently popped up on the resell site since the jury’s decision was announced. For example, a Johnny Depp “trial wristband overflow” was recently sold for a whopping $375. As per TMZ, one seller was also looking for “nearly 4-figures” for a paper bracelet.

On June 1, a jury awarded Mr Depp significantly more damages than ms Heard, resulting in a legal victory for the Pirates of the Caribbean actor. It found that Ms Heard had defamed Mr Depp in her December 2018 op-ed for Washington Post and awarded him $15 million, which was later capped at $10.35 million. On the other hand, Ms Heard was also awarded $2 million in damages in a counterclaim against her ex over defamatory comments made by his lawyer, who referred to her abuse claims as a “hoax”.

Johnny Depp wins defamation suit against Amber Heard

Depp sued for $50 million in damages over a 2018 opinion-editorial essay in The Washington Post, in which Heard said she had become a “public figure representing domestic abuse.”

Johnny Depp won a defamation suit Wednesday against his former wife Amber Heard after a jury found that she had defamed Depp in saying that he had abused her over the course of their relationship.

Depp, who was not in court Wednesday due to a previously scheduled work commitment, sued for $50 million in damages over a 2018 opinion-editorial essay by Heard in The Washington Post, in which she said she had become a “public figure representing domestic abuse.” Although the essay never mentioned Depp by name, his attorneys said it indirectly referred to allegations she made against him during their 2016 divorce.

The jury unanimously found that Heard could not substantiate her allegations against Depp and that she knew her claims of abuse were false when she published her 2018 essay.

The jury determined that Heard acted with actual malice when writing her op-ed. The jury awarded Depp $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages in his defamation suit.

Fairfax County Circuit Court Judge Penney Azcarate reduced the punitive damages the jury awarded to Depp to $350,000, which is the state’s statutory cap or legal limit, making his total damages $10.4 million.

“From the very beginning, the goal of bringing this case was to reveal the truth, regardless of the outcome,” Depp said in a statement Wednesday. “Speaking the truth was something that I owed to my children and to all those who have remained steadfast in their support of me. I feel at peace knowing I have finally accomplished that.”

Depp said that “the jury gave me my life back. I am truly humbled.”

As for Amber Herd it did’t go so well. Heard had countersued for $100 million and said she was only ever violent with Depp in self-defense or defense of her younger sister. Heard’s countersuit centered around three statements made by Depp’s former attorney Adam Waldman in 2020 to the Daily Mail, in which he described Heard’s allegations of abuse as a “hoax.”

The jury found that Depp, through Waldman, defamed Heard on one count. The jury awarded Heard $2 million in compensatory damages but $0 in punitive damages. Considering Ms. Heard’s net worth is only 2 Million, I say she is pretty screwed.
